Dru hill concert7/25/2023 ![]() ![]() The group’s second album Enter the Dru was released in 1998, with their first single “These Are the Times” which propelled them to higher levels of success while garnering more fans. Through the success of their first album, Dru Hill made a name for themselves within the music industry along with gaining a substantial fan base. During this time “We’re Not Making Love No More” written by, singer and songwriter Babyface reached number two. Dru Hill went on to release additional singles from their debut album Dru Hill “In My Bed” and “Never Make Promise” both singles reaching the Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles Chart. None of their success could have been possible without the group members diverse talents and interest. Dru Hill’s debut album, Dru Hill, peaked at number five on Billboard’s Top R&B Albums Chart and at number twenty-three on the Billboard’s 200, selling more than 1.5 million copies. “Tell Me” became the group’s first hit single transcending to number five on Billboard’s Hot R&B Singles Chart. Such as “Tell Me” on their first debut album Dru Hill released in 1996. ![]() The group’s smooth R&B style is inspired by a collection of soul, hip hop and gospel-influenced harmonies, combined with positive messages focusing on love and life to which have led to hugely successful singles. Name in honor of their Baltimore, Maryland neighborhood, Druid Hill Park. In 1992, four high school friends Mark “Sisqo” Andrews, Larry “Jazz” Anthony, Tamir “Nikio” Ruffin and James “Woody Rock” Green formed the group Dru Hill. ![]() After 25 years of music, Dru Hill is celebrating its anniversary with a tour, stopping in Stamford CT on Saturday, May 20 th, 2023. ![]()
