Bellhop moving reviews7/26/2023 ![]() ![]() I said that can’t be right, what if there are still things on the truck? How am I billed for extra time, if needed? She proceeded to say “No, they’re done at 4 hours.” I said, “Ma’am, they’re not just going to drive off with my stuff…” She replied, “Oh, well. Meaning if I said 4 hours, the movers would drop everything and leave at 4 hours. So many people have moving deadlines, and I’m just lucky that I have a grace period.Ģ) The movers themselves were WONDERFUL!!! So apologetic, so nice and polite, etc.ģ) I made sure the movers were paid for their time.ģ) The woman who took my booking told me that I had to state how many hours I needed and if I under-judged the time, the movers would stop immediately. However, this was incredibly ridiculous from booking (an entire story on its own) all the way through. Guess who NEVER got a call back…completely unacceptable.ġ) I NEVER post negative reviews of businesses knowing that one person/event doesn’t make/break a business. (Their own staff members…) then he finally said they could and would call me back in ONE HOUR to update me (why would it take so long?)… A manager named Taylor told me at first that he had no way to track down the movers. I said no and that I needed to speak to a manager. They tried to transfer me to a 30+ min hold. I was able to immediately rent a Penske truck, called headquarters back, and asked them to send the movers back or send new ones. I couldn’t accommodate the dates they wanted to reschedule, so I cancelled, and the movers left. ![]() I call back and they said all they can do is reschedule and give me $15 off my move (my total was over $800…). Meanwhile, the movers are still just sitting with me. They said they’d text me in 5-10 min with a resolution. I asked for them to send a truck, and was super patient. They immediately admitted they completely messed up. I immediately got on the phone with headquarters. They updated a ”few things,” and confirmed.ĭay of my move: two movers show up, no truck. I didn’t feel confident AT ALL that the reservation was correct because of who I talked to, so I called back the next day to confirm. I booked a move with a truck and two movers two weeks ago, gave my deposit, got my total, etc. Honestly, some of it is comical….I’d suggest a read even if you don’t want/need a review of a moving company. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY.ĭo not ever use this company. ![]() Additionally, the items that had to be disassembled and reassembled at the new location were not reassembled correctly… HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. ![]() What should have been a 3 maybe 4 hour move, turned into an 8 hour move resulting in thousands of dollars worth of damage: a broken 55” TV, broken bed frame, broken fireplace TV stand, severely damaged bedroom suit, damaged dining room table, scratched and deeply chipped bookcase, broken lamp. It took the team, 4 hours to load up the truck from the first location. I was quoted 3 – 4 hrs based on the furniture and belongings. I used the company on October 16th 2021 to move 45 seconds away (literally) from one apartment building in the same complex to another. They are using the old bait and switch… estimate 4hrs at an attractive price, use an inexperienced team thereby doubling the time and cost at the risk of your pockets and your belongings. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY - I had a deplorable experience with BellHop. ![]()
